Busines case Clariant

In 2011 Clariant Group IT measured the perception and expectations of IT end users across the organization. Clariant Group IT is an ambitious IT organization which believes that IT performance is about creating value to the business and offering quality services to the IT end users.

Volker Laska, CIO: “We have experienced Yorizon as a knowledgeable and reliable partner in conducting this survey for us. Both in their project approach and execution they showed expertise, from which we could enjoy the best practices from many other companies.” Yorizon supported Clariant with a questionnaire customized to their needs and executed the survey among over 10,000 IT users in 9 languages, while research techniques were used to overcome cultural differences. Specific result reports were presented to Clariant and follow up measures were discussed. Volker Laska adds: “ Furthermore the Yorizon Priority Matrix offers us a really clear overview of priorities which supports our decision making and actions. We will continue integrating IT user satisfaction as a frequent activity and active KPI.”

About Clariant
Clariant was formed in 1995 as a spin off from the chemical company Sandoz, which was itself established in Basel in 1886. Through our direct lineage, we have amassed knowledge and experience of chemistry and industry spanning approximately 150 years. Clariant expanded through the incorporation of the speciality chemicals business of Hoechst (Germany) in 1997, and the acquisitions of BTP plc (UK) in 2000 and Ciba’s Masterbatches division in 2006. In 2008, we acquired the leading U.S. colorant suppliers Rite Systems and Ricon Colors. The latest acquisition, the highly-innovative specialty chemicals company Süd-Chemie (Germany), was completed on 21 April 2011.
