The success of a migration or roll-out of an important application depends on acceptance and utilisation by the internal customer.

It is important to conduct baseline measurements prior to an important migration or roll-out. Re-measurements looking at functionality, speed, user-friendliness, training and documentation will be carried out during and after the migration. In some cases – and this certainly applies to regional roll-outs – evaluations of the documentation and training are essential in order to make sure that interim changes can be made. This is one way that acceptance time can be reduced and possible recurrences of problems or bottlenecks prevented. A baseline measurement also gives a picture of the quality and the process of internal communication to the users. This insight makes it possible to increase the involvement of the users in the changes, so that they will not face any unpleasant surprises.
